In five years, you can raise a child from zero to kindergarten.
You can earn a college degree or, if you’re crazy enough, a Ph.D.
You’re just in time, after five years, to sample a sharp Wisconsin cheddar, but you better drink up most of the wines in your cupboard by then.
Or, you can open a freelance business, build it up one client at a time, and do your best to earn each next assignment.
This month, I enjoyed the five-year anniversary of the formation of Marsh Consulting LLC. Now, dozens of clients and about 1,000 projects later, I can’t imagine life without it.
I’m so grateful for the wonderful network of colleagues that I’ve connected to over the last five years through this business, and I look forward to the next 1,000 projects already!
